Chess in Colour

Home

This game's web site is very disorganized: it's hard to find anything except the Java version of the game, which is very accessible and is a good way to understand how this game works out (because what little the author has written about this game sure don't help you with that).

Basically, Chess In Colour is played like standard chess, but each piece has a colour. There are six colors, and colors are distributed to both sides, meaning that each player has at least two pieces of each colour. Only captures between two pieces of the same color are legal, and such captures eliminate both the capturer and the captured. The goal of the game is to eliminate both players' pieces in as few moves as possible.
